About Us Who Are we and what is the United American Tea Party? We are the St Johns County component of Tea Party Patriots. We are composed of non-partisans Patriots without regard to party affiliation, loyal only to America and Her People. It is based upon promoting government policies as outlined in our Constitution as developed by our Founding Fathers. Their collective works are our creeds to honor & live by, 'on how a Government, of, by, and for, the people should work'. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are our 'list of Commandments'. We believe that the current government is overblown, excessive, self serving and corrupt and must once again be brought under the control of the American people. We are as American as Apple
Pie, strongly Patriotic and proud of it. It is our mission to protect
these same Patriotic values and Traditions for our Children and
Grandchildren. On March 23rd, 2009, United American Tea Party, AKA Just Patriots was born. We are part of The TeaPartyPatriots.org, which is a national collaborative grassroots effort organized by Smart Girl Politics, Top Conservatives on Twitter, the DontGo Movement and many other online groups and coalitions. The Tea Party Patriot protests began in early 2009 when Rick Santelli, the On Air Editor for CNBC, set out on a rant to expose the bankrupt liberal agenda of the White House Administration and Congress. Specifically, the flawed 'Stimulus Bill' and pork filled budget. (Congressional Pig Book Summary (PDF) During Rick.s rant, he called for a 'Chicago tea Party' where advocates of the free-market system could join in a protest against out of control government spending. A few days later, grassroots activists and average Joe Americans began organizing what would soon become the Nationwide Chicago Tea Party effort. On February 27th, an estimated 30,000 Americans took to the street in 40+ cities across the country in the first nationwide 'Tea Party' protest. Organizers of the February 27th events pledged to continue on with an even bigger and better protest to follow the first. With April 15th being 'Tax Day', it was decided to schedule the second round of Tea Party protests to ride alongside the tax deadline. And with that, the 'Tax Day Tea
Party', the second round of the Nationwide Tea Party protests, moved into
reality. On April 15th, 2009 we started on our Mission to get our message
to our Government that we will not take it anymore. We are here to tell
our Government that will not allow them to take us down this path, and we
will demand that they will abide by the laws set down in the Constitution,
Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. If they do not than they
will be voted out of office and they will be replaced with officers that
represent us, 'We the People'.
--Return the government to the People via the ballot box. --Support the secret ballot in all situations --Protect our right of free speech in all media outlets. --Promote fair taxation for all citizens. --Promote immigration via the legal process rather than amnesty --Support honest candidates for political office who support limited governmental control --Provide voter registration
opportunities at all public events Our Core Values have divided our country more than anything else in this Country We believe It is time for us to restore and reclaim our Independence We believe "The Declaration of Independence" is exactly what it says. It is not "The Declaration of Dependence", that many administrations have created over the past 200 plus years, and our current administration is determined to drastically expand We believe in our right to peaceful protests We believe The big spenders and those who would deny us the rights to which we are entitled should be voted out of office We believe there are proven ways to create jobs by cutting taxes and eliminating wasteful spending We believe In working hard and tirelessly to protect our individual liberties We believe It is unconstitutional to place the immense debt our Federal Government has created on the shoulders of our children and grandchildren We believe As Americans we must unite regardless of Party and show the Government that we will demand that they abide by the laws set down in the Constitution We believe The only colors to be seen are the Red, White and Blue in our United States Flag, the Flag that represents our Freedom Back to top |
